Why vote for
the Christian Democratic Party
The
Christian Democratic Party is the only party that is specifically working
towards ensuring that our Christian heritage is not eroded further. This heritage includes essential values such
as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to practice one’s religion,
freedom to educate our children in the way we see best for them.
The CDP
also has a deep respect for the sanctity of human life. This is shown in its opposition to abortion
and euthanasia. The CDP takes the only
logical position on the question of when human life begins – conception. It is committed to the protection of human
life from conception till death in the natural course of events. Those who feel that life has no purpose or
meaning need to be helped to deal with their depression, not assisted to kill
themselves.
The CDP believes
in supporting the family as the basic unit of society. The family as God
designed it to be, composed of a male and a female in life-long committed
relationship to each other, along with any children they may have been blessed
with (either adopted or natural). This
is the intended context for the expression of our sexuality, and is the only
environment where true sexual fulfillment can occur.
The CDP is
committed to upholding the moral standards of our society. So many societies in our world are racked
with crime, graft and corruption, as well as sexual immorality. These are an affliction on those societies,
and these things are increasing in Australia as well, to the detriment of all
within our society.
The CDP is
committed to providing justice for indigenous Australians. It is committed to promoting a vigorous
rural sector.
In the area
of drug addiction, the CDP is committed to harm prevention not so called harm minimisation. The CDP recognizes that drug addiction is a
medical problem, but that it is a problem that can only ultimately be solved
through reducing the flow of drugs into our society.
The CDP is
committed to the aid and care of those in our society who are underprivileged,
those who are marginalised and in need of compassionate assistance.
The CDP is
the party to vote for, if you want to affirm the family and make Australia a
better place for all Australians.
